Primary Purpose
Assist in the maintaining of all fence and playground units throughout the District and make proper repairs as needed.
Education Certification

Current certification in welding, preferred

High School Diploma or GED

Valid Texas driver’s license with good driving record/CDL required

Special Knowledge/Skills

Strong background in fence installation and repair

Prior experience in commercial playground installation and repair preferred

Experience in portable ARC welding

Experience in various types of grounds equipment

Knowledge of operation of Heavy Equipment

Knowledge of operation of small equipment necessary for fence repair 

Should be able to work and learn from others

Ability to follow directions

Ability to handle high-volume, fast paced work loads

Ability to get along with others

Ability to complete task in a timely manner

Willing to complete other duties as assigned


Minimum two-three (2-3) years’ experience in fence construction and maintenance

Minimum two-three (2-3) years’ experience in playground installation and maintenance

Tools/Equipment Used
Must be skilled with a variety of lawn tools.
Ability to climb on and off equipment
Frequently lift 10 to 80 pounds
