National Black History Month
National Black History Month is celebrated every February to recognize the rich heritage and contributions of people of African-American heritage.
Help us celebrate the histories, cultures, and contributions of all African Americans during Black History Month by:
- Sharing a photo or video stating why you are proud of your African American heritage and/or why it's important to celebrate diversity (using the hashtags #GISDCelebratesDiversity and #BetterTogether)
- Visiting the art show at the Granville Arts Center
- Attending Black History Celebrations in the area
