Dear GISD Families,

It’s important that we get our kids back in school, and we’re ready to do just that. After closely assessing road conditions and our buildings, Garland ISD campuses and offices will open at their regularly scheduled time on Friday, January 30, 2026. Our teams have been working around the clock to prepare our schools and buses to welcome students and staff back safely.

Transportation Information: Buses will operate as scheduled. Families are encouraged to use the StopFinder app to track bus arrival times.

Travel Safety Reminder: Please be careful when traveling. Dress warmly if you will be outside, leave a little extra time to get where you are going, and be patient on the roads. Your safety is very important to us.
