Public Comment Opportunity and Notice of Intent to Apply for Federal Grants 2026-2027
In accordance with the requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Section 8306(a)(7), Garland Independent School District (Garland ISD) intends to apply for federal entitlement grant funds for the 2026–2027 school year. These funds support the district’s efforts to improve student outcomes, enhance instructional quality, and provide equitable educational opportunities for all students. Garland ISD anticipates submitting the 2026–2027 ESSA Consolidated Federal Grant Application on Thursday, June 25, 2026, for all ESSA grants for which the district is eligible.
Garland ISD welcomes public comments and feedback. All comments and feedback received will be forwarded to the appropriate district team responsible for overseeing the respective grant program.
The public comment period is May 18, 2026- June 5, 2026.
