What will I see on my ballot?

The projects shown above will be listed as Proposition C on your ballot. See the wording below as it will appear on the ballot.

Voters will be asked to vote FOR or AGAINST the issuance of $40,605,000 in bonds for the purposes of acquiring and updating technology equipment. The ballot will also state the imposition of a tax sufficient to pay the principal of, and interest on, the bonds. This refers to the district’s I&S rate, and Garland ISD can afford to pay for these bonds at the current rate.

THE ISSUANCE OF $40,605,000 OF BONDS BY THE GARLAND INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR TECHNOLOGY EQUIPMENT AND THE IMPOSITION OF A TAX SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE PRINCIPAL OF AND INTEREST ON THE BONDS AND THE COST OF ANY CREDIT AGREEMENTS. THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.
