Standard in-district transfers
You may qualify for an in-district transfer if you moved, have a sibling at another campus, or need bus access. See the table below for details.
| Reason for transfer | Requirement | Processed by |
|---|---|---|
| Change of residency (parent/legal guardian address) | You must submit a new proof of residency to your current campus before submitting a transfer request form. | Campus |
| Uniting siblings | The student has a non-magnet sibling at another campus and wishes to attend the same school. This applies only if the sibling is not transitioning to a new school level (e.g., elementary to middle school, or middle to high school). | District |
| Access to district-provided transportation | The student resides within an established district transportation zone and requires school bus access to get to and from the requested campus. | District |

How to apply
To request a transfer for a specific course or special program:
- Submit your request directly to the principal of the secondary campus where the program is offered.
- Once approved, you and the principal both sign the official Programmatic Transfer Request Form.
Programmatic transfer window
Applications for programmatic transfers are accepted during a limited window each year.
- Opens: At the end of the 30-day choice period
- Closes: Last day of spring semester
Important Note: Requests aren't accepted once the school year starts or during summer break.
