Multi-Program Activity Centers and Field Houses
New fieldhouses for all seven high schools were part of the planned facility upgrades in Prop A of the 2023 Bond program. With the voters' additional approval of Prop B for the Multi-Program Activity Centers (MACs), the district was able to combine both projects.
Latest Update: Fall 2026
Naaman Forest, Rowlett, and Sachse high schools are cleared for full use of their new MACs. North Garland, Garland, and South Garland high schools are able to use their facilities in some capacity while final fit-out takes place, and Lakeview Centennial's MAC will be the last to open later this fall.

Weatherproof spaces for student success
As part of the 2023 bond, voters approved the construction of multi-program activity centers—known as MACs—at each high school campus. Originally planned as separate field house renovations and indoor facilities, these elements have been combined into one dynamic space designed to serve athletics, fine arts, and academic programs year-round.

For each campus, the project includes an 80-yard turf field and storage for fine arts and athletics. The fieldhouse includes locker rooms for outdoor sports, coaches’ offices, a meeting room, laundry room, weight room, and storage.
