The NAACP Garland is hosting its 36th annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade & Celebration on Jan. 18. Attendance is free.

The parade starts on Dairy Road at Garden Drive (near Embree Park) at 10 a.m. and ends at the Granville Arts Center. The festivities will continue at the Granville Arts Center's Brownlee Auditorium at 12:00 p.m. 

More performances will be held the next day at the MLK Dance & Step Youth Extravaganza.
