The Clara Stewart Watson Student Loan and Scholarship Fund was established in 1968 to assist worthy and ambitious graduates of high schools in Dallas and Tarrant Counties. The American National Bank of Texas serves as Trustee. Scholarships vary each year according to the funds available. 

Interested students must submit the following:

• Complete application - Please note, handwritten applications will not be accepted
• Copy of high school transcript
• 2 Letters of Recommendation
• Submit the most recent approved FAFSA
• Applications can be sent by email:

    • The subject line of your email must reads as follows: "Watson Scholarship Application - Your Name"
    • Please note, there wil not be a confirmation email returned regarding the submission. Please refe to this application for any questions on application requirements or dates. 

The Trustee will notify recipients of the decisions made regarding scholarship awards by July 31, 2026 and scholarship awards will be mailed directly to the college or university that is listed on the application.
