Women of Distinction Scholarship

Chapter DX, P.E.O. TX offers the Woman of Distinction Scholarship for women who reside in the
Dallas Metropolitan Area or attend an accredited post-secondary school in the Dallas Metropolitan
Area. In most cases, the scholarship amount will be paid
directly to the educational institution attended.
Application Instructions and Timeline: Completed online application and all supporting
documentation must be received by the WODS Committee Chair by 5:00pm on February 28, 2026.
There will be no exceptions.

Eligibility Requirements
A female citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States or Canada with
- A permanent address int eh Dallas Metropolitan Area OR
- Is or will be atteding an accredited post-secondary school in the Dallas Metroplitan Area
- Has a 3.5 GPA or an excellent work evaluatio nif returning to school after an extended absence
- Presently attends or has submitted an application to attend her school of choice
Supporting Documentation Includes:
• Two letters of recommendation; we prefer one from someone in the applicant’s academic or
work world and one personal. Please have your contact email them directly to
WODScholarshipChair@gmail.com in PDF format.
• Transcript from the last academic institution attended; unofficial transcript is acceptable or most
recent work evaluation if returning to school after an extended absence.
• Proof of status as a citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. or Canada. The only acceptable
documents are a U.S. or Canadian birth certificate, passport or permanent residency
documentation.
