If passed, Proposition A is projected to provide about $56 million in additional funds annually for teacher and staff salaries, student programs, specialized education services and safety and security. 

The You First Foundation is pleased to support families who’ve been adversely affected by traumatic medical events by awarding scholarships to students to continue their education. Each year through your generous financial contributions, we award deserving students with scholarships up to $6,000. Since beginning this program, we've awarded over $154,000 in scholarships.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Be a resident of Texas.
  • Submit a high school diploma or GED
  • Be enrolled or plan to enroll in an accredited two or four-year college, university or vocational school within the United States. Part-time and full-time students may apply.
  • Have a 2.7 minimum GPA.
  • Submit two letters of recommendation.
  • If applicable, provide college, university, or vocational school transcripts.
