Connecting the Dots Expo
Region 10 is partnering with Garland ISD and other organizations to host the Connecting the Dots Expo, an event to help families of students with disabilities find valuable resources and information.
About the Expo
The expo will be made up of workshops discussing resources in the community, services, and topics such as:
- Insurance
- Medical services
- Mental Health services
- Educational support
- Employment training
- Support
- Legal help
- Post-secondary planning

Session 1
The session 1 breakout discussions will be from 10:30-11:30 a.m.
- Breakout 1: Guardianship & Alternatives
- Breakout 2: Creating Amazing Brains - Helping Parents Understand Their Child's Brain for Better Outcomes
- Breakout 3: Essential Resources for Individuals with a Communication Impediment
- Breakout 4: Preparing for the Transition from High School to Higher Education
Session 2
The session 2 breakout discussions will be from 12:00-1 p.m.

- Breakout 2: Creating Amazing Brains - Helping Parents Understand Their Child's Brain for Better Outcomes
- Breakout 3: Essential Resources for Individuals with a Communication Impediment (Spanish)
