EBCon
Join the Department of Multilingual Programs for our annual Emergent Bilingual Conference. EBCON 2026 invites language professionals to spend a full day learning, collaborating, and growing through this year’s theme, Language Connects Us. Participants will engage with experts in language acquisition and multilingual education while gaining practical strategies, fresh ideas, and best practices to support Emergent Bilingual students. Our goal for 2026 is to bring experts in the field of multilingual education together so educators leave with a toolbox of high-impact practices that foster connection, strengthen instruction, and help Emergent Bilingual students graduate with the knowledge, skills, and language to succeed.

About the conference
EBCON is an annual conference hosted by Garland ISD's Department of Multilingual Programs. This conference is designed to equip educators with tools that will empower Emergent Bilingual students, through practices that build agency and accelerate learning to close the achievement gap.
