GISD School Lunch Week
Created by John F. Kennedy in 1962, National School Lunch Week highlights the importance of a healthy school lunch and how it helps inside and outside of the classroom. This year's theme is “Taste the World: Your School Lunch Passport", which highlights the importance of a healthy school lunch to a student’s success in and out of the classroom. The goal of this week is to challenge students and staff to eat healthy foods that will keep them powered throughout the day.
Campuses across GISD are celebrating with a variety of activities. Check with your campus for details on special menu items and theme days. #NSLW
Note: We've moved our National School Lunch Week celebration up a week from its normal date due to Fall Break.
