National African American History Month is celebrated during February each year to recognize the rich heritage and contributions of people of African-American heritage.

Help us celebrate the histories, cultures and contributions of all Black Americans during African American History Month by:

• Sharing a photo or video stating why you are proud of your African American heritage and/or why it's important to celebrate diversity (using the hashtags #GISDCelebratesDiversity and #BetterTogether)
• Visiting the art show at the Granville Arts Center
• Attending Black History Celebrations in the area
