If passed, Proposition A is projected to provide about $56 million in additional funds annually for teacher and staff salaries, student programs, specialized education services and safety and security.

Join us at "Tailgate with SAIL: A Gameplan for Literacy Success"! This fun-filled event will teach families how to support their child's early literacy development at home and will feature:

  • Free books for your home library
  • Student and parent giveaways
  • Free food for the whole family
  • Support from educators and community partners

Tailgate with SAIL will explore reading and writing skills from Pre-K through grade 3, covering topics like:

  • Understanding your child's current reading level and achievement goals
  • How to support reading at home using simple tools and strategies
  • What it means to be a Literacy Leader in the school community

This event is held by our Sheltered Approach to Improved Literacy (SAIL) program offered at several of our campuses. SAIL is designed to make sure students in Pre-K through grade 3 have the support they need to become strong grade-level readers.
