Students from Centerville Elementary School in Garland ISD were gifted shoes from the Influence International Church and Pastor Chris Hughes. Williams' teachers nominated seventy-five HERO students to attend the event at the Puma Outlet Store in Allen, Texas. The HERO program stands for Helping, Encouraging, Respectful and On-Task. Teachers selected students who were HEROs for the first semester.

Hughes wanted a way to impact the community of Garland. He thought using the schools was an excellent way to start. His motto is "Impacting Cities Through Schools," which fits his vision of changing Garland one school at a time.

We appreciate our partnership with Influence International and Pastor Hughes. His contributions to the students of Williams Elementary are outstanding. He is #TheGISDEffect
