PreK-K Emergent Bilinguals (EB) Summer School
Current PreK-K Emerging Bilinguals can attend this summer program to hone their English skills.
As one of our summer 2024 offerings, we are providing a free summer school program for eligible Emerging Bilingual (EB) students who are currently enrolled in prekindergarten or kindergarten.
All eligible EB students are invited to attend our program. Your child will enjoy an academic camp experience, designed to include Language Extensions, Reading Language Arts, and Math through fun and engaging activities.
About the program
Emerging Bilingual (EB) Summer School will run from June 4-26*, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
There is no cost to attend, and
- free breakfast and lunch
- free school supplies
- free bus transportation for kindergarten students (must register by April 26)
Students are eligible for EB Summer School if they:
- are a current prekindergarten or kindergarten student in Garland ISD
- have been identified as an emergent bilingual student
- have parental/guardian approval for bilingual/ESL program placement
*Note: There will be no school on June 19.
