    Attend the Dyslexia Symposium

    Join us for our 7th Annual Dyslexia Symposium on February 15! This year's theme is "Blooming Minds: Growing Beyond Words" and will feature:

    • Breakout sessions for professionals
    • Keynote discussions featuring special guest Casey Harrison, founder of The Dyslexia Classroom and Wimberley Dyslexia
    • A variety of vendors to explore

    The Garland ISD Dyslexia Training Center is accredited by The International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council (IMSLEC) and trains to the Certified Academic Language Therapist and Qualified Instructor levels through ALTA.

    About the Center

    Mission

    Provide exceptional instruction rooted in the science of teaching reading to those pursuing therapist-level dyslexia certification. We build the literacy capacity needed to instruct and empower those with dyslexia to achieve success throughout their life.

    Vision

    Equipping professionals to provide world class instruction, foster individual needs, and embrace the culture/values of those identified with dyslexia. Candidates are empowered to bring awareness of dyslexia/related disorders to their communities.
