The Distinguished Young Bobcat Award

The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) serves as the conscience of law enforcement by being committed to justice by action. NOBLE has nearly 60 chapters and represents over 3,000 members worldwide that represent chief executive officers and command-level law enforcement officials from federal, state, county, municipal law enforcement agencies, and criminal justice practitioners.

Eligibility Requirements

  • The student must be classified as a senior at a High School in the state of Texas having graduated in 2020.

  • The student must be planning to attend Texas State University the fall following high school graduation.

  • Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.5.

  • Each applicant must submit and essay. The essay must be doubled spaced and typed in a 12 point font; must be at least one full page, but can not exceed 2 full pages and must address the following questions: What are your academic interests?; Why did you choose Texas State University? How have you demonstrated leadership potential? What mark do you hope to leave on Texas State University?
