GISD Board calls for Nov. Prop A election

If passed, Proposition A is projected to provide about $56 million in additional funds annually for teacher and staff salaries, student programs, specialized education services and safety and security. 

  • Offering Scholarship awards of $1,000-$3,000 to be presented to a minimum of two North Texas area high school seniors this year.
  • Winners will be notified privately by March 31st and will be publicly awarded at the NTRP Spring Luncheon held April 13, 2023.  
  • Winners are invited along with their family to the luncheon at no cost to accept their scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Currently a senior in good standing in a North Texas (DFW Metro area) accredited high school
  • Relocated between grades 9 and 12 (after grade 8 graduation)
  • Relocated more than 50 miles and changed schools due to their family's relocation
  • Currently have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 (or equivalent achievement on a different scale)
