Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH)
P-TECH is a program that provides students with technical and workplace skills as well as college credit opportunities. While getting their high school diploma students can earn up to 60 free college hours and have the potential to earn an associate’s degree.
Specific student skills will be highlighted with certifications or work-based training in their related fields. This opportunity is free to the students and will include internships with industry parnters. These experiences can lead to paid internships or employment immediately after high school.
Each high school campus offers a different P-TECH program. See below for details by location about the available certifications, associate degrees and industry partnerships.
Students must meet the following to be considered:
- Motivated by taking advanced coursework
- Want to attend college and willing to work hard
- Willing to learn college readiness skills and use them daily
P-TECH programs will accept up to 125 incoming ninth-graders each year who meet program criteria.The program is open to all students and specifically encourages participation by diverse student groups who are typically underrepresented in college courses.
