Summer Meals
From June 4-27, 2024 and July 8-19, 2024, students can receive breakfast and lunch at no cost at select locations.
Registration is not required for summer meals, but students must be accompanied by an adult or an older sibling to receive meals.
All meals are free to children ages 18 and younger. Meals served at school campuses must be eaten in the school cafeteria. Meals served at apartment complexes must be eaten on site. See menus on Schoolcafe.
Summer meal locations, dates and times

Grab and Go meal pick-up
Beginning June 19 through July 20, meals will be provided on Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. and Saturdays from 8-10 a.m. at the Rowlett Utilities Building located at 6602 Dalrock Rd., Rowlett, TX 75089

Expand AllWho is eligible to participate?
All children 18 and under are eligible to participate. Children DO NOT need to attend Garland ISD or reside in the city of Rowlett.
Where can grab and go meals be picked up?
Beginning June 19th, Grab and Go meal bundles will be available on select dates and times at the Rowlett Utilities Building.
The building is located at 6602 Dalrock Rd.

When can meals be picked up?
Wednesday meal pick-ups will be held from 6-8 p.m. on the following dates: 6/19, 6/26, 7/10, and 7/17.
Saturday meal pick-ups will be held from 8-10 a.m. on the following dates: 6/22, 6/29, 7/13 and 7/20.
How will meals be packaged?
Meals will be packaged for breakfast and lunch to cover multiple days.
Wednesday pickups will contain meals for the following Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Saturday pickups will contain meals for the following Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Meal bundles will be packaged according to storage requirements (i.e. refrigerator, freezer, pantry, etc.), and will include a menu with any necessary cooking instructions.
Can parents pick up meals without their child present?
Yes. However, adults cannot pick up meals for children that are not theirs.
If a parent or legal guardian wishes to pick up meals without their child present, they must present one of the following documents:
- Individual student report cards
- Student ID cards
- A Birth Certificate
- Children under the age of 5 who are not enrolled in a school district may use a birth certificate to request a meal.
Once guardianship has occurred, SNS will distribute a car tag to parents that can be used at future pickup dates.
