UTA offers over $30 million in scholarships each academic year for students. We put our students and their needs first. This generous scholarship program is used to reward academic excellence and to improve college access. Students must apply and submit all documents required by UTA Admissions before the scholarship deadline to be considered. All students are automatically considered for these scholarships. There is no additional application needed.

Eligibility Requirements

For scholarship purposes, an entering freshman is a high school graduate with no college enrollment after graduation (with the exception of summer only enrollment). College courses completed before the official high school school graduation date, i.e. dual enrollment, do not disqualify students from consideration for an Entering Freshman Scholarship.

For scholarship purposes, and with the exception of summer only enrollment, a student with college enrollment after high school graduation will be reviewed for scholarship eligibility in the Entering Transfer Scholarship category.

The general scholarship program (Entering Freshman and Entering Transfer Scholarships) is for new students with no previous UT Arlington enrollment (with the exception of summer only enrollment).

All scholarships administered through the UT Arlington Scholarships Office are reserved for students pursuing their first baccalaureate degrees, in a for-credit, degree-seeking program.

Full-time enrollment (minimum of 12 UTA hours) each fall and spring semester and earn the specified annual minimum number of UTA hours are required for the duration of the eligible scholarship period. Enrollment in only 12 UTA hours each fall and spring may not meet the specified annual minimum. Concurrent enrollment at another institution does not apply to either minimum.
