The Vegan Teens Are The Future Scholarship started with the realization that being a vegan high school student is no easy task.  Teenagers who make a commitment to being vegan are highly dedicated individuals who base their commitment not on the System's expectation of them as a young person, but on their own sense of ethics - ethics of nonviolence, reverence for life, and commune with the earth and its inhabitants.  ​

Our scholarships are very open ended.  There are no traditional requirements other than being a high school junior or senior pursuing post-diploma, tuition-based education.  The intent of the scholarship is to reward students as much as it is to enable their continuing education.  It is an attempt to put scholarship money where it belongs - with kids taking personal action for no personal gain to make themselves and the world a better place.
