Bond Work Continues with Forced-Entry-Resistant Film
The district's safety efforts are boosted as the installation of forced-entry-resistant film begins at all campus main entrances.
Keeping our GISD family safe continues to be a priority for our district. As part of Phase 1, Prop A of the 2023 Bond, each campus is getting forced-entry-resistant film installed at their main entrances.
Adding resistant film helps slow or prevent windows from breaking by making them shatterproof. The film is made of multiple layers of tear-resistant materials. This helps glass stay in one piece even if hit with blunt force.
We're excited to announce that over half of our schools already have this film installed. Adding this film helps us continue to provide a safer environment for our students and staff. Watch the video to see how the application process works:
