After careful consideration, Garland ISD will not adjust Spring Break dates for the 2024-2025 school year to match Dallas College's recently revised academic calendar. Our academic calendar for this school year was finalized and approved in advance with thorough consideration, and we understand that our families plan well ahead.

We highly value our partnership with Dallas College and understand the importance of coordination between our institutions. Dallas College has committed to working with instructors to ensure that the change to the Dallas College spring break dates does not academically impact Garland ISD dual credit students. Additionally, this decision will not affect our dual credit students' ability to enjoy an entire spring break.
