Resources and services offered
Expand AllEmotional support
Speak with trained staff to help you mange the demands of daily life and emotional conflicts that arise. You can speak with a clinician regarding stress, family conflicts, job pressure, loss, change, and many more topics.
Receive 5 free in person visits with a counselor each year.
Estate guidance
EstateGuidance offers online tools for will preparation.
Financial resources
Call the EAP and speak with one of their financial experts. Referrals can be made to local financial professionals and you are reimbursed for the cost of an initial one-hour in-person consult. Assistance provided for debt management, retirement planning, real estate questions, college, investments, loan information and more.
Legal guidance
Call the EAP to be connected to their staff attorneys. Assistance available for family law, credit issues, housing issues, immigration concerns, wills, and more.
Online support
Access GuidanceResources from your computer, tablet, or smartphone. 24/7 access to articles, podcasts, videos, trainings, chat, and "Ask a GuidanceConsultant". Register online or download the app to access.
Work life solutions
Speak with a Work-Life Specialist to assist you with everyday questions and concerns. Assistance offered for finding child or elder care, housing searches, financial resources, pet care, resources for sending children off to school, planning a major project, and more!
Eligibility and cost
EAP services are available for all benefits-eligible GISD employees and their household members.
Phone calls and website access are always free. 5 free in-person visits with a counselor per year, per situation. Legal and financial services may involve fees.
