Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Awards
The Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Recognition is a district acknowledgment of outstanding Garland ISD employees. GEM recognition is open to any GISD employee who displays superior commitment, innovation, leadership, work ethic, accomplishments and/or initiative. A GEM nomination can be submitted by anyone by completing the GEM Nomination Form at the link below.
Going the extra mile is something we see every day here in GISD—in our classrooms and campuses, at our warehouses, in our offices, on buses, cafeterias and on our grounds.
