Special Education Stipends for 2025-26

In addition to the starting teacher salary, the following stipends will be available for 2025-26 Special Education professionals:

  • $1,000-$3,500 Special Education (depending on position)
  • $10,000 Speech Language Pathologist

$5,000 Additional Critical Shortage Stipend

  • Licensed School Psychologists
  • Diagnosticians
  • Speech Language Pathologists
  • SPED Teachers Self-Contained Units
    • Alternative Learning Environment (ALE)
    • Adaptive Behavior and Communication (ABC)
    • Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)
    • Behavior Adjustment program (BA)
      Behavior Analysis Services and Education (BASE)
    • Functional Behavioral Environment (FBE)

    2025-26 Salary updates

    Step increase for 1-2 teaching years

    Classroom teachers with 1-2 creditable years of service will get a step increase.

    Increase for 3-4 teaching years

    Teachers with 3-4 creditable years of service will get a raise of $2,500.

    Increase for 5 teaching years

    Teachers with 5+ creditable years of service will receive a $5,000 raise.

    Support role increase

    Nurses, Counselors, and Librarians will get a $1,000 raise to the 2024-25 base salary.

    Additionally, non-exempt support staff receive a $550 salary increase.
